Equipment of caustic and toxic liquid storage tanks

Depending on the type of chemical substances stored or processed, we offer various system components that are selected individually for given uses.

A stub pipe – nozzles and stub pipes made of GRP are standard pipes, to which pipelines or flange fixture and fittings are connected. The nozzles and stub pipes can be installed in any configuration on the equipment and as required by customers. The nozzles and stub pipes can also be delivered with additional elements such as sealing caps or thread connections. The nozzles and stub pipes are delivered in two variants – with a loose flange (as standard) and with a fixed flange. They are delivered as chemically resistant.

The nozzles and stub pipes are made in accordance with DIN 16966 part. 6 (drilling as per PN-EN 1092-1). Apart from standard nozzles and stub pipes, we can manufacture nozzles and stub pipes with any measurements.

A manhole – a manhole is composed of a flange connection and lenticular or flat cover. Manholes are elements facilitating internal revision of equipment made of GRP. They are usually installed at the highest point of equipment and, if necessary, can also be mounted on the side of equipment. The manhole is delivered as chemically resistant.The manholes are delivered in two standard variants: with a lenticular cover (for DN500 and DN 600) and a flat cover (for other diameters). Apart from standard manholes, we can manufacture manholes with any measurements.

PU foam – polyurethane foam is a plastic composed of solid polyurethane cells surrounding gas bubbles. The commonly used gas is carbon dioxide (CO2). Foams are used as thermal and acoustic insulation. They are applied by spraying.


A safety tub – safety tubs operate as independent safe structures that, in case of any loss of tightness, stop leakage of an aggressive medium and protect environment against possible contamination.

The equipment is manufactured in two configurations:
- cylindrical (intended for vertical tanks),
- cuboidal (intended for vertical and horizontal tanks).

The safety tubs are delivered as chemically resistant.

The capacity of a safety tub equals at least to the capacity of a tank placed in the tub, which results in complete protection against any contamination.

A filler duct unit – the loading duct unit includes a flange connection for mounting on a stub pipe of a transmission duct, to which a Camlock quick coupling with a seal is connected. It is used for filling of equipment directly from a road tanker.

The equipment is connected with the use of screw connector to a stub pipe used for filling of the equipment. It is delivered as chemically resistant. We can also manufacture filler duct units with any lengths and provide quick couplings other than standard.

A dry float level gauge – a linear dry float level gauge is used for direct and continuous indication of the level of a medium in a tank.

The float floats in the tank on the liquid surface. A level gauge that operates as a counterweight is connected to the float with the use of a flexible rope. Depending on a medium filling height in the tank (a rope sliding on profiled Rolls), the gauge reflects the filling level.

Maximum level is shown in the bottom part of the gauge pipe and minimum level is reflected on the top part of the same.
The level gauge is delivered as chemically resistant.

An advantage of the level gauge type is its structure – in case of any mechanical damage, no medium will leak from the tank.

A wet valve float level gauge – used for direct and continuous indication of the level of a medium in a tank.

The level gauge operates like a connecting vessel and the level in the tank is reflected by the position of the level gauge in the gauge pipe. The level gauge is delivered as chemically resistant.

An advantage of this type of a level gauge is measurement accuracy, low fault rate and, in case of any mechanical damage, the level gauge valves can be closed and prevent leakage of a medium from the tank.

Dynamic low-speed mixer – 4 flat paddles. The equipment prepares mixtures in tanks with small and medium capacities (from 1 to 20 m3).
The screw line stroke generates high rate of turbulence operating at low speeds.

A high-speed propeller mixer – a device for preparation of mixtures in tanks with small capacitors (up to 4.5 m3)

A radar level gauge:
A heating system -  it is often necessary to maintain constant temperature in a tank or protect it against freezing, e.g., when a tank is exposed to low temperature and stored medium is characterised by low freezing temperature. In this case we offer a heating system and/or thermal insulation for the tank.
Tanks can be heated in three ways by assembly of such tooling as:
-    a steam-powered heat exchanger,
-    an electric heater,
(Heat exchangers and heaters are installed in a manhole installed in the bottom part of a tank, where they heat a stored medium directly. An electric heating tape is moulded in the tank wall – a medium is heated by increasing of temperature of the tank walls)
- an electric heating tape
Heating ducts are used for protection of water tanks against freezing and maintenance of minimum temperature resulting from a technological process. The use of such heating ducts enables maintenance of appropriate temperature and viscosity of the substance.

Service ladders and platforms – in case of necessary maintenance and service activities to be performed in the top part of a tank, the tank should be equipped with a metal service ladder delivered in accordance with PN-EN ISO 14122-2
Ladders with their heights exceeding 2200 mm are additionally equipped with protective rails for protection of operators against falling. A service ladder may also lead to a service platform on the top.

A service platform is most often installed in the top part of a tank and enables operating and service activities. The platform is delivered in accordance with PN-EN ISO 14122-2. The platform is covered with a RT40/38P platform grating made of polyester laminate. The platform may also be delivered as independent or combined with a service ladder.

A coagulate dozing and storage station – such types of stations are used for dosing of various chemical substances. They are mostly used in sewage and water treatment plants for dosing of such coagulates as PIX, PAX, PAC, ALF and aluminium sulphate.

Preparation of the place for installation does not require any construction works. A coagulate storage tank is placed in a self-bearing safety tub, which means that no concrete foundations have to be delivered.

Generally, a dosing station includes:
- a (ZH or ZHc type) horizontal storage tank with a (WB type) safety tub or (ZVd) double jacket vertical tank,
- a dosing pump with control system.

Dosing stations are delivered as tailored and a customer may choose among the following options:
- the quantity of a chemical compound dosed,
- coagulate dosing – single or multi-point dosing,
- pump control – manual or automatic,
- dosed liquid level control – continuous (with the use of an ultrasound sensor) or in min./max. points (with the use of float sensors).
